This accessory fits onto the MKII sharpening guide and will allow you to quickly, precisely, and perfectly perpendicularly position your wood chisels, even narrow ones, and your mortise chisels (with optional accessory 05M09.12).

The Veritas Narrow Blade Holder is an accessory specifically designed for use with the Veritas Mk II Sharpening System (standard or complete). It surrounds the blade on the sides and holds it firmly perpendicular to the guide, even for thin, narrow, or triangular blades, greatly facilitating manual sharpening on stones, diamond stones, or flat abrasive surfaces.

The geometry of the angled side jaws ensures automatic centering of the blade in the middle of the guide, which is essential for straight and repeatable sharpening. This accessory expands the capacity of the Mk II system by allowing the sharpening of thinner and narrower blades than those that the standard blade holder can handle.

It can be used with a wide variety of fine-bladed tools, including narrow chisels, mortise chisels, narrow knives and specialist tools, while offering a sharpening angle range of 15° to 40° for the main bevel and approximately 10° to 20° for the counter bevel, depending on the configuration of the Mk II system used.
